Very foggy up here on the hill today, but that only provides an opportunity to get some interesting photos.
Last Sunday afternoon there were some great looking clouds floating around in the air. I went out about an hour before sunset to try catch them in some scenic locations. Pretty happy with what I came up with.
This was probably my favourite shot from the afternoon. The sun was low in the sky and it cast a great light that made the colours and the scene come alive.
Finding areas within town that I can quickly drive to in order to take sunset photos without having buildings and power lines obstructing the skyline has been a bit of a challenge. Finally I found a spot that I really should have known about all along. Sometimes it is true that you can’t see what’s in front of your eyes. I drive past this place daily on my way to uni. Facepalm.
I had just finished work at a quarter to 6 in the morning. On my drive home I saw this awesome golden light coming up over the edge of the Toowoomba Range. I ran inside to grab my camera and drove around the corner to a good vantage point.
