Last Sunday afternoon there were some great looking clouds floating around in the air. I went out about an hour before sunset to try catch them in some scenic locations. Pretty happy with what I came up with.
This was probably my favourite shot from the afternoon. The sun was low in the sky and it cast a great light that made the colours and the scene come alive.
While driving out of town along this road the sun just peeking over the crest of the hill made for a great photo opportunity. Again, the low sun just made the colours pop.
Telephoto lenses can be great for landscapes when used properly. Captured this thunderhead of an approacing storm with my 70-200mm lens out at 135mm.
The sun had just set and left a nice orangy-red glow in the sky and I thought using it as the backdrop for this lone tree looked good.
Finally a panorama of what lay in front of me. To be honest the size I can display it on my site here doesn’t do it justice. You can click here to see it slightly larger or this one which won’t fit on the screen. The full sized image was around 50 megapixels!
